In the following post from almost exactly three years ago, I state that God seems to have a sense of humor. A lot has happened in those three years, but I’m pretty sure He still does. Just keep reading and you’ll see what I mean.
I have wondered a lot about God’s future for me, and many times the thought of being a missionary has come to mind. Now, I know that could only be from the Lord because if it were up to me I’d never leave the South.
After reading the Stay-At-Home Missionary’s blog post today (see below), I still have the same desire, but I sincerely hope that if God does send me somewhere, it isn’t to Indonesia! (I shouldn’t say that…God has a sense of humor!)
If this story doesn’t make you reconsider being a missionary, nothing will! You’ve gotta read this!
For as long as I can remember I have had a debilitating fear of snakes. The kind of fear that makes you cry, your hands shake, and even, on occasion, throw up. To some this fear may seem silly or irrational, but to me, it is all to real.
But I had no idea how real it was going to get……
