This lovely group of women had a great time a couple of weekends ago gathering together for the Set-Apart Girl Conference that we were able to have via simulcast. I know I was greatly blessed by both the messages and the fellowship! Just a few highlights from Leslie Ludy’s sessions (just barely skimming the surface, here!):

Characteristics of a Truly Beautiful Woman:

1. She values the eternal over the temporal
2. She is free from self-promotion
3. She champions godly masculinity
4. She guards what is sacred
5. She finds her fulfillment in Christ

Characteristics of a Woman of Honor:

1. She uses her time wisely
2. She minds her own business
3. She governs her emotions
4. She points people to Christ and not self
5. She keeps her standards high
6. She doesn’t love the world

“Recipe” for God-answered prayers

1. Pray God prayers, not man prayers
2. Pray with faith
3. Pray with perseverance
4. Pray with purity

And this is from Eric Ludy’s message “Set-Apart Freedom”. I loved this list!

What is the blood of Christ for?

For atonement (Rom. 5:11)
For propitiation (Rom. 3:25)
For justification (Rom. 5:9)
For forgiveness (Eph. 1:7, Col. 1:14, Heb. 9:7)
For cleansing from sin (1 Jn. 1:17, Rev. 1:5, 7:14)
For purging of our consciences (Heb. 9:14)
For peace (Col. 1:20)
For reconciliation unto Christ (Col. 1:20)
For righteousness (Rom. 3:22, 2 Cor. 5:21, Phil 3:9)
For saving us from the wrath that will come (Rom. 5:9)
For destruction of the devil (Heb. 2:14)
For overcoming the devil (Rev. 12:11)
For redemption (Eph. 1:7), Col. 1:14, Heb. 9:12, Rev. 5:9, Acts 20:28)
For giving us life (Jn 6:53-54)
For bringing back to life (Heb. 13:20)
For sanctification (Heb. 10:29, 13:12)
For spiritual and physical healing (Isa. 53:5, 1 Pet. 2:24)
For boldness to enter into the Holy of Holies (Heb. 10:19)

If you’re reading this and wishing you could hear all that was said between these points, you can 1) look up their audio messages and online articles, and 2) plan ahead to attend next year! We already decided that we want to do this again! Of course, it will be new material, but I’m sure it will be just as excellent.
